Supporting One of Our Own

From Newcomer to Family

Jaxon came to miCHILIgan for the first time last year, and it didn’t take long for him to become part of the family. He jumped right in — helping at the registration table, winning the Acorn Award, and using the leftover eggs and hot dog buns for impromptu Sunday morning French toast. Always with his sweet pup, Tallulah, by his side.

It was clear to everyone that Jaxon fit right in — kind, helpful, and always ready with a smile or a hand. Now, we have a chance to return that kindness.

A Diagnosis That Changed Everything

Jaxon and his wife, Nicole, are now facing an incredibly difficult chapter. Nicole was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma — one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer.
This news followed months of unexplained symptoms, ER visits, and medical uncertainty, all while Nicole managed ongoing chronic illnesses and recovered from a major surgery. Answers were hard to come by, but Nicole never stopped pushing forward — and Jaxon never left her side.

“We were tossed into the unknown, but our community has kept us grounded.”

Let’s Show Up for Jaxon & Nicole

Amid the chaos, Jaxon lost his job — leaving the family briefly without insurance during a critical time. He’s since landed a new position (just in time), but they’re now starting over with new deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums.
Nicole will soon step away from her work as a therapist to focus fully on treatment, which is expected to include a double mastectomy and chemotherapy. All of this while supporting a family and managing life’s other curveballs.

By sharing Jaxon’s GoFundMe, we’re helping ease their financial burden and reminding them that they’re surrounded by a caring, grounded, and generous community.
